Night Quote Analysis (Section 5 & 6)

"Thousands of voices repeated the benediction; thousands of men prostrated themselves like trees before a tempest." (Wiesel 74)
The image of men scared for their lives in created through this quote. It foresees the lives of these men being  lost to the one they believe in. It also foreshadows their never ending faith for their God but also that never ending becoming soon ending. These men are going to stop believing if nothing is done to change their view on their God.

"These words of encouagement, even though they came from the mouths of our assssins, did us a great deal of good." (Wiesel 98)
Hope and encouragement toward that hope is shown throughout this quote. These men are trusting the ones who have killed their loved ones only for that second of hope that they will too live on and maybe not be killed in the terrible times they are going through. This quote shows the hope of these mean to live.
